Star of Texas Rodeo

For my second day off during Spring Break, we headed to the Austin rodeo. When we arrived, there was a looooooooooong line to get in the gate. Luckily, there was a 4-yr old boy in front of us, and he and Spencer kept themselves entertained during the 30+ minute wait. And then we were on our way!

We started off by playing a game.

Then we rode a few rides and went into a fun house. Spencer's favorite was the convoy ride.

And you just have to get a corn dog at the fair. We think this was Spencer's first corn dog, if you can believe it. He enjoyed it!

Next up was the petting zoo, where we saw baby lambs, baby goats and a baby llama which was the softest little thing ever! (No pictures this time...) We walked to the opposite side of the barn and discovered the animals over there were total jerks! Super aggressive trying to get the food. We didn't like that, so we high-tailed it out of there and took a break to listen to some music and Spencer ran around with some kids.

After all that running we needed an ice cream break.

We strolled through the the barn to see some of the show animals. Then Spencer practiced his heavy equipment operating skills until we decided we were zonked and ready to head home. It was a fun day!
