Christmas, Round 1

We went to Columbus yesterday for Christmas at Aunt Bobbie's. Spencer's holiday spirit was contagious. He was so excited about everything. When we had the four second cousins standing in front of the tree for a picture, Spencer kept saying, "Merry Christmas!" over and over as he turned from camera to camera. Every present was the best present he ever received - he even yelled, "Wow! New clothes!" when he opened a snazzy warm vest from Aunt Bobbie. Between the new puzzles, games and Stomp Rocket, his cousins and he were busy until we headed home around 6:30.

He had so much fun playing with Sarah, Lee and Elliott. I heard him walk over to Lee at one point before we left and say, "I had a good time with you guys today." Spencer loves his family so much - it just about makes my heart explode! Looking forward to more holiday fun this week as we start the official countdown to Santa.

Spending Time with Cousins

Spencer got to have some good cousin time the last few days. On Thursday, he and Geep picked up Audrey and Hyelom at the airport and went to the ranch for an overnighter. They swam, fished, rode the EZ tractor and played in the sandbox. Daddy picked up Spencer Friday and he was wiped out. He slept all the way home, then collapsed in my lap and slept for another two hours there and in our bed. Napping until 6:30...whew!

We went to Lisa and Ric's Saturday evening and Spencer had a blast playing with Sarah and visiting with family. The kids bounced on the trampoline, played the piano, climbed all over the playscape and once again we had one exhausted (and dirty!) critter when we got home.

Roll over Beethoven

Sunday was Sarah's 3rd birthday party. Spencer dove right into the activities at The Little Gym. We were cracking up because it was an instructor-led class, but our little non-conformist had his own agenda for part of the time. Afterward, we went to Ken and Nicole's house to open gifts and visit. Spencer fell asleep before we got home and did not want to wake up, so Daddy enlisted him to help water the garden. It was a great weekend!
